IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL NEW AND EXISTING CLIENTS!!

Effective September 11, 2025: The State of Michigan has changed the law regarding the use of topical anesthetics in all tattoo procedures. A valid prescription from a physician is required in order to use numbing agents while doing any tattoo procedure, including permanent cosmetics and paramedical tattooing.  This is the law, and there are no exceptions.

Here is what you need to do BEFORE coming your next appointment:

Contact your doctor and request a prescription for a topical Lidocaine numbing cream. It is very important that it is a cream (not a liquid, gel or spray) and that it contains no less than 4% Lidocaine. Have the prescription filled at your pharmacy, then bring your written prescription and the anesthetic with you to your appointment.

DO NOT APPLY YOUR OWN ANESTHETIC TO YOUR SKIN PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT! Allowing the anesthetic to sit on your skin longer than necessary can make the skin resistant to the pigment. This will negatively impact both the procedure and your healed results.  Also, the numbing effect will likely wear off before I even start the procedure. Bring your prescribed anesthetic with you to the appointment, along with the written prescription from your physician, and it will be applied after the surface of the skin is cleansed and sanitized.

Although cosmetic tattooing can be done without anesthetics, it is NOT recommended!  Even if your body is covered with tattoos, and you believe you have a “high pain tolerance” (everyone says that). Understand that the delicate areas of the face are FAR more sensitive than other commonly tattooed areas of the body, and can be extremely painful without an anesthetic.

The fact is, without anesthetic, it hurts. With anesthetic, it hurts  a lot less.  Remember, I am tattooing your face, with “forever” results.  If you are in pain, I will feel rushed. If you are calm and comfortable, I will also feel calm and comfortable, which makes for a much more pleasant experience for both of us, and the best possible healed results for you!  So don’t be a tough guy, just get the anesthetic.

PLEASE NOTE: If you come to your appointment without your valid prescription and prescribed anesthetic, and then decide not to go through with the appointment due to pain concerns, or any other reason, you will still be charged for the appointment. If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment time because you forgot to get the prescription and would like to to reschedule to a later date, you will be charged 50% of the total service value.

So please do us both a favor and PLAN AHEAD!

Thank you so much for your time, understanding, and cooperation!

I appreciate you, and look forward to seeing you soon!
